A wheelchair and a walker, rendered

Retirement villages & aged care

Upgrading? We'll take the old equipment.

Aged-care beds, hoists, wheelchairs, walkers, commercial kitchen stainless and steel furniture, collected from retirement villages and aged-care homes, recycled and reported. We plan the job around your residents. One service fee, quoted before we come.

What we take

Care equipment, kitchens and unit refits

Homes replace beds and hoists on a cycle. Villages refit units as residents move on and upgrade clubhouses, kitchens and gyms. Most of what comes out is steel, stainless or aluminium, and none of it should go to landfill.

We do the lifting

From rooms, corridors and lifts to the truck. We can dismantle bed frames and work around residents' routines and visiting hours, quoted when we confirm the job.

Your rules

Inductions and screening

Tell us your induction, infection-control and screening requirements when you book. We plan the crew and the timing around them.

One fee

One number for the approval

The service fee is quoted before we come, so your operations or finance team has a fixed amount to approve.

Before we come

A short list, done by your team

Equipment that residents have used needs to be clean and safe to handle. These are the checks we ask for, the same ones we ask of hospitals.

Beds, hoists, wheelchairs and walkers

  • Cleaned and signed off by your team, with our decontamination declaration signed.
  • Batteries out of hoists, electric beds and mobility equipment. They travel separately from the metal, and we take the batteries too.
  • Mattresses, bedding and soft furnishings removed so we collect the frames.
  • Asset register updated on your side before disposal.

Kitchens, laundries and offices

  • Emptied and cleaned: food, linen, files and resident records cleared out first.
  • Fridges, freezers and air-conditioners degassed by an ARC-licensed technician before collection.
  • Computers and servers have their drives removed or wiped, with the data declaration signed.
  • No asbestos. Check your register before a refit. Older heaters, linings and fittings can contain it.
Aged-care homes and villages each have their own policies. Send us yours when you book and we will work to them. We do not take clinical waste, sharps, chemicals, hired oxygen cylinders or asbestos (the full list is here).
